Breaking news: Jill Carroll is released
The Washington Post is reporting this morning that kidnappers have released 28-year-old American freelance journalist, Jill Carroll.
And what amazes me is that because of her "I wasn't mistreated statements," Carroll is not being accussed of faking the whole thing to garner anti-Bush coverage.
This is big relief, but it sickens me to think her captivity and release will be used for political propaganda. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what she has to say once she's safely home.
