Better late than never
Had breakfast with a longtime SPJ colleague this morning and he delivered my 2006 Ohio SPJ Award for Religion Coverage for my article on Thomas Merton. It was nice to catch up with someone with whom I had planned several of SPJ's bigger parties and most profitable fund raisers. Those were the days.

Congratulations on your award. It was a beautiful article. I'd never heard of Merton before. What an amazing man.
